The shock absorber is suspended between the frame and the rear swingarm, cushioning the rear of the PW80. Mounts follow the factory hole pattern of the PW80, with installation lengths and torque values according to the workshop manual. According to the factory table, the replacement covers model years 1991 to 2005; the specified production period of 1983 to 2005 also includes the early platform years.

Please compare the spring preload and strut length with the product image before ordering, as Yamaha made minor adjustments to the component over time.
