The Moturo ignition coil for your Yamaha PW 80 91-11 and PW 50 (2013) — the first component to replace in the event of starting problems or misfires. Comes complete with ignition cable and silicone-sealed spark plug connector, ready for installation.

The ignition coil generates the spark for the single-cylinder engine. It is supplied as a complete unit consisting of the coil, ignition cable, and a silicone-sealed spark plug connector; the mounting follows the original design of the PW platform. The pin assignment and position on the frame comply with the workshop manual for the PW 80 (model years 1991 to 2011) and the PW 50 (model year 2013), as do the torque specifications.

Replacement takes about half an hour using a hex key set, a socket wrench for the mounting bolt, and a screwdriver for the connector on the frame.

Original spare part design, no separate ABE (general operating permit) required. Before ordering, compare the cable length and connector geometry with the product image, as other PW 50 model years may have different ignition systems.

Frequently asked questions

Does the coil also fit the PW 50?
Verified for the 2013 model year (49 cc, 2.7 hp / 2 kW). Earlier PW 50 model years have different ignition systems, so please compare with the product image before ordering.

Do I need a TÜV registration?
No. Original spare part design, no ABE required.

How do I know if the old ignition coil is defective?
Typical symptoms: no spark at the plug, misfires at idle, refusal to start despite a fresh spark plug and a full battery.
