The cable transmits the movement from the throttle grip via the handlebars to the throttle valve on the carburetor. The total length is 185.4 cm (73 inches), suitable for most GY6 50cc to 150cc four-stroke scooters.

Replacement takes about half an hour with a hex key set, a small pair of pliers, and some patience when hooking it into the carburetor slide.
