Moturo Heat Shield Wrap gold 50mm × 5m

The Moturo gold heat shield wrap for manifolds and exhaust pipes — self-adhesive, withstands temperatures from -40 °C to 260 °C. 50 mm wide, 5 m long, ready for installation.

The wrap is wound around the manifold or exhaust pipe to reduce heat radiation in the engine compartment. Material according to the manufacturer: fiberglass with aluminum coating. The self-adhesive backing keeps the wrap in position during winding. Flammability class VW-1.

Winding takes about half an hour with scissors and work gloves. Lightly dampen the wrap before initial operation and let it burn in.

Important notes – please read

Original spare part design, no separate ABE (general operating permit) required. Universal item to be cut to size; check manifold length and required number of wrap layers on your own bike before winding. Smoke and odor will occur during the first heat-up — this is normal and will subside after a short ride.

Frequently asked questions

Does the self-adhesive backing hold permanently on the hot manifold?
The adhesive surface is intended for installation; at higher temperatures, we recommend additional cable ties or stainless steel clamps.

Is one roll sufficient for a complete manifold?
5 m is sufficient for single-cylinder manifolds with moderate wrap overlap; for multi-cylinder engines, please measure requirements beforehand.

Does the wrap smell during the first heat-up?
Yes, smoke and odor occur during the burn-in process. The effect disappears after a short ride.
