Moturo Voltage Regulator Rectifier for Harley Davidson Touring 97-98
The Moturo voltage regulator for your Harley Davidson Touring 97-98 (FLHTC, FLHTCI, FLHTCU, FLHTCUI 1340 EFI) — a classic wear item in the charging circuit after many years of touring. Converts AC voltage to 12 V on-board voltage, OE 74505-97, ready to install.
The voltage regulator sits in the electrical system between the alternator and the battery. It rectifies the generated AC voltage, keeps the on-board voltage within the 12 V tolerance range, and protects the battery as well as electrical components like light bulbs from overvoltage. Fits FLHTC 1340, FLHTCI 1340 EFI, FLHTCU 1340, and FLHTCUI 1340 EFI from 1997 to 1998.
Replacement takes about half an hour with a socket wrench and torque wrench. Unplug the connector, loosen the mounting screws, insert the new regulator, and observe the tightening values according to the Touring workshop manual.
