The Moturo starter clutch kit for your Yamaha Grizzly 660 03-08 (YFM 660 FWA) — the component your ATV/quad needs if you hear grinding noises during start-up. Complete set with all wear components, ready for installation.

The starter clutch is located at the end of the crankshaft and transfers torque from the starter motor to the engine. If the drive dog catches and fails to disengage, it risks causing massive consequential damage to the engine.

The kit provides all interlocking starter clutch components bundled together so that the assembly can be replaced in one go. Suitable for model years 2003 to 2008.

Replacement takes about two hours with a hex key set, socket wrench set, and torque wrench.

Original spare part design, no separate type approval (ABE) required. As a wear part in the drivetrain, replacement does not require registration. If you hear grinding or mechanical noises during start-up, a complete replacement of the assembly is advisable, as all components wear down together.

Why replace the entire set instead of just the freewheel?
The components interlock and wear together. Experience shows that partial replacement often quickly leads to another defect.

Does the kit also fit the Grizzly 700?
Yes, for YFM 700 FWAD from model year 2007 onwards. Compare the model code and bolt pattern with the product image before ordering.

Do I need a TÜV registration?
No. This is a wear part with original spare part design.
