The Moturo starter clutch for your Yamaha Raptor 660 R (YFM 660 R, MY 01-04, RN, RP, RR, RRER, RS) — the standard replacement part for your quad when the starter makes a rattling sound. OE geometry, ready for installation.

The starter clutch sits between the starter gear and the crankshaft and transfers torque during starting. If the sprag rollers are worn, the starter will rattle without turning the engine. The geometry follows the factory hole pattern of the YFM 660 R from 2001 to 2004, tightening torques as per the Raptor workshop manual.

Replacement takes about two hours with a hex key set, torque wrench, and puller. The variator cover and alternator rotor must be removed to access the clutch.

Specifically for YFM 660 R Raptor model years 2001 to 2004 (RN, RP, RR, RRER, RS). Not for YFM 700 R Raptor from 2006 onwards (different component).
