The Moturo starter relay for 50cc scooters (GY6 and 139QMA/QMB) — the usual suspect when the scooter won't start despite a full battery and the starter remains silent. Plug-in connection, ready for installation.

The relay switches the high-current circuit of the starter as soon as the starter button releases the control current. It is located in the vehicle electrical system near the battery and is one of the most common points of failure in the starting system of modern scooters. The connection is made via plug contacts, and the layout fits many compatible scooters from the late 1990s and 2000s.

Replacement takes about half an hour using a screwdriver and an open-ended wrench for the battery terminals.

Disconnect the battery before replacement.
